Barbara M. Thorn, 87, of North Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 in Harbour Senior Living, Monroeville.

She was born March 21, 1930 in Mt. Pleasant, PA, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Medvan.  Prior to her retirement, Barbara was an operator for Bell Telephone and a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Brigadier General Richard E. Thorn in 1996; and several brothers and sisters.  She is survived by her two daughters, Cheryl Tarby and her husband Joe, Barbara Szulc; granddaughter Jennifer Fitchwell; and great-grandson Malaki Inks  A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday at 9 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin with Fr. John Moineau officiating.  PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH.  Interment in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.   Arrangements made by the James W.
