Robert E. Shank Jr., 76, of North Huntingdon, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the William Penn Care Center, Jeannette.
He was born August 12, 1940 in McKeesport, a son of the late Robert E. and Lillian Walters Shank. Prior to his retirement, Robert was a bridge and building foreman for the Union Railroad and a member of the Beulah Park Methodist Church, McKeesport. Robert was the owner of Short Stop Convenience Store in Grandview. He enjoyed bowling, antique cars, playing golf, traveling and was an artist. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia Hadad Shank; sons Scott and his wife, Christina, Ryan and his wife, Sandra; daughters, Dawn Wonderling and her husband Jerry, Tracey Haughey and her husband, Jerry; sister, Nancy (John) Galioto; brother-in-law, Vincent Hadad; grandchildren, Brandyn, Ethyn and Evyn Shank, Jeremiah and Joshua Wonderling, Michael and Logan Haughey, Ryan and Jordan Shank. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment in Restland Cemetery, Monroeville.
