Eleanor J. Powell, age 82, of White Oak, died on Friday, December 30, 2022. She was born in McKeesport on September 26, 1940 and is the daughter of the late Helen Gidias Powell. She was employed as a clerk for various businesses including Rite Aid.

Eleonor is survived by her cousins, George (Anna Marie) Gidias of Pittsburgh; Judy Rahuba of Baldwin; Marian Levandowski of Pittsburgh; many nieces and nephews; and her neighbor, Beverly Wilson of White Oak.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret L. Powell; and Mary Powell.

Family and friends will gather at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Monday, January 2, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., when a blessing service will be held in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Port Vue.
