Philomena Noll, 90, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully Monday, January 30, 2023. She was born August 9, 1932 in Homestead, a daughter of the late Michael and Rose Rizzo. Philomena was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She loved her family and enjoyed the company of the people closest to her more than anything. Prior to becoming a mother, she worked as a secretary to the principal of Calhoun Jr. High School and later as a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone. Philomena was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Agnes Parish. She loved the time she spent at church and was a dedicated member of the Christian Mothers and Legion of Mary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, James Duffy and Thomas Noll, sister, Rose Rizzo, daughter-in-law, Marie Noll, son-in-law, Joel Mance and great-grandson, Thomas P. Noll Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Mance; sons, Thomas Noll (fiancee, Jacqueline Czarnecki) Robert Noll (Andrea), Marty Duffy (Lisa), James Duffy (Peggy), Patrick Noll (Carol); loving sisters, Josephine Stevens, Anna Mae Magnes and Rose Burris; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA 15642. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Agnes Church. Interment to follow in St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery, Munhall.
