Michael “Mick” John Trombola, age 91, of Irwin, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Concordia of Monroeville. He was born in McKeesport on October 25, 1931 and was the son of the late George and Elizabeth Trombola. Michael was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Navy and a member of St. Elizabeth Anne Seton Parish in Irwin. He was the retired Superintendent of the Municipal Authority of the City of McKeesport. He is preceded in death by his wife, Josephine V. Chapas Trombola who passed away December 11, 2021.

Michael is survived by his daughters, Diane (Howard) Laur of Monroeville; Linda (Mark) Korbar, of Monroeville; grandchildren, Leslie (Aaron) Nall of Richfield, OH; Howard (Taryn) Laur of Plum; Catherine (Dylan) Postlewaite of South Hills; Paul Korbar, of White Oak. Michael is also survived by great-grandchildren, Mackenzie (with whom he shared a birthday) and Barrett Nall; Howard W. Laur IV; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother, George (Jayne) Trombola of Conneaut. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by sisters Betty (Bill) Kiska and Angie (John) Ondrik. Family and friends will gather on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177). Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 200 Leger Road, North Huntingdon, PA 15642. Burial will follow.
