Kenneth Bruce Cechman, of Pitcairn, age 76, died at his residence on March 20, 2023. He is the son of the late Larue and Ruth Africa Cechman and was born in Wilkinsburg on Oct. 28, 1946.
He served in the Navy, was employed at Westinghouse as an accountant for several decades and was involved with the Three Rivers Bernese Mountain Dog Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Ellen Petkus Cechman and his parents. Ken is survived by his brother, Larry (Judy) Cechman of Spotsylvania, PA, father-in-law, George Petkus of Pitcairn, sister-in-law, Sandy Petkus of Indiana, nephew, Matt, niece, Melissa, and his two great nephews. He is also survived by all of his wonderful friends, especially Donna and John, and Ana and Nick, and everyone from the Bernese Mountain Dog Club. Arrangements were entrusted to Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). If friends desire, remembrances may be made in Ken’s name to the White Oak Animal Safe Haven, 2295 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131.
