Arthur C. Snyder Jr., 63, of Greensburg, died Wednesday October 12, 2016, at home. He was born February 24, 1953 in McKeesport, a son of the late Arthur C. Sr. and Vera J. (Adams) Snyder. Art was a former employee of Bridgestone Firestone, Youngwood, and a Navy veteran of the Vietnam conflict. He was a life member of VFW Post 33 and American Legion Post 981, both of Greensburg and the South Greensburg Hunt Club.

He enjoyed working on his home and building things and was a Steelers fan, an overall football fan, and a NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed golfing. He is survived by his wife, Jeana D. (Gray) Snyder; children, Heidi Caron, Earla Peifer, Crystal (Tom) Payne, and Keyla Kriete; grandchildren, James Peifer, Gabrielle Morgan, Abigail Loughner, Sebastian Wood, Ariyonna and Aaliyah Kriete, and Zendaya Crawford; a sister Nancy (Alan) Mullaert; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday. Interment with military honors will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to the family to help with final expenses.
