Nicholas John Gorzo, Jr.

He was employed as a plant manager at IGC transportation and was also a Pennsylvania State Constable. He was a member of the Youghiogheny Masonic Lodge #583 and Shriners International. He was the founding member of the White Oak Rescue Squad and was a double lifetime member, past president, chairman of the board, and fire police of the White Oak Volunteer Fire Company #1 (call number 299). Nicholas was also a Boy Scout leader, a was a charter member of the McKeesport Area Shared Ministries, and an usher and trustee of the Wesley United Methodist Church. He was an avid traveler with his family as well. He is survived by his wife, Joyce R. Fallert Gorzo, who were days short of their 60th wedding anniversary; children, Jacelyn (Donald) Strom of East McKeesport; Nicholas Arthur Gorzo of White Oak; grandson, Duston Strom; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Nicholas was preceded in death by his sisters, Marjorie (the late Stephen) Katich; and Jeannine (the late John) Palko. Family and friends will gather at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. and on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. when services will be held in the funeral home chapel.
