Edward "Ed" C. Lane, age 65, of Bethel Park, went to be the Lord May 23, 2023. An Air Force veteran serving from 1983-1991, he retired May 12, 2023 from R.L. Miller LLC Hydraulic Equipment in Pittbsburgh. He was a member of the Clairton Sportman's Club.

Born March 6, 1958 in New Eagle, he was a son of Dorothy (Hartlein) Tuttle of Ohiopyle and husband of the late Susan Jean (Schaefer) Lane.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Robert (Kelly) Schaeffer and Stephanie (Kevin) Farrier; grandchildren, Wyatt Vincent Schaeffer, Hunter Douglas Schaeffer, Brayden Robert Schaeffer and Makenzie Rae Farrier; siblings, William Lane of Confluence, Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Ferri of Indian Trail, NC, Frederick (Kimberly) Lane of Greenville, SC, Cynthia (Jackie) Hinzy of Confluence and Lori (Stephen) Miller of Ohiopyle; one niece and four nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by stepfather, William Tuttle; and in-laws, William Slough and Shirley Slough Goettel. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home,  221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Sunday, May 28, 2023 from 12 Noon until the time of funeral service at 4 PM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jude Urso officiating. Burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies June 1, 2023 at 1:30 PM.; family and friends attending should arrive at the cemetery between 1 and 1:15 PM.
