Russell “Jakes” Scott Lust, age 62, of White Oak, died on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. He was born in McKeesport, PA on May 2, 1961 and is the son of the late John and Betty Dudley Lust, and the husband of the late Mildred McWilliams Lust, who died on November 2, 2009.

Jakes is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Nathan) Young of White Oak; son, Michael (Kate Rhodes) Lust of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Morgan Lust; Xavier Young; Owen Young; Brooklyn Young; girlfriend, Kathy Loera of White Oak; siblings, Sandra (Darrell) Jones of Greensburg; John “Jackie” (Bernadette) Lust of Gambrills, Maryland; Robert (Marci) of West Mifflin; Kevin (Tina) Lust of McKeesport; Ronald (Pam) Lust of Liberty Boro; Donald (Mary Ann) Lust of McKeesport; Brian (Kathy) Lust of North Huntingdon; sister-in-law, Sally Lust of North Huntingdon; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents and spouse, Jakes was preceded in death by his brother, Daryl Lust. Family and friends will gather on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). Services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Round Hill Cemetery.
