Donald “Don” Leonard Trainer, 53, of McKeesport, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 20th, 2023. He was born in McKeesport on May 27, 1970, to the late Kenneth Leroy and Charlotte Abell Trainer. He is survived by his sister, Carol Daugherty of Port Vue, brother John McGarrity of McKeesport, granddaughter Hailey Jayde Trainer of Greensburg, as well as nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Nikole Lea Trainer. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards and had a passion for gambling. His favorite movie was The Godfather and he was a master-class chef at cooking hot sausage. His favorite job that he had was being a taxi driver as well as a driver for Chucks Ice Cream. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 29th, from 2 P.M. – 6 P.M. at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025. A service will take place following visitation at 6 P.M. Reception will follow the service at the Glassport American Legion at 417 Monongahela Ave. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to defray costs.
