Wanda LaValle, age 92 of Clairton, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023 in Bethel Park Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born June 9, 1931 in Salt Lake City, UT, she was a daughter of the late Alonzo and Frances (Avon) Smith. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Jefferson Hills, Wanda worked as a nurse's aide at McKeesport Hospital. She also volunteered at St. Clare Elementary School and was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge # 248, both of Clairton.

Besides her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy LaValle, who passed away August 12, 2002, and her brothers Kenneth, Adrian, Barclay, Ray, Lynn, Don; and her sisters Afton, Avon, and Fawn. She is survived by her children Julie A. LaValle of Vallejo, CA, Stephen M. (Anna Marie) LaValle of West Mifflin, and David M. LaValle of Clairton; her grandchildren Jason LaValle and Nicolle (Matthew) Baquet; her great-grandchild Miles Baquet; her sister Adele Smith of Salt Lake City, UT; and also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton, on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 6 PM until 8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 11AM. Procession and burial will follow to St. Clare Cemetery, Clairton. Arrangements by A.J.
