, 78, of North Huntingdon, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 3, 2023. He was born August 5, 1944 in Swissvale, PA, son of the late John Shane and Helen (Madden) Shane Clawson. Prior to his retirement, John was a steamfitter for Local Union 449 and a veteran of the US Air Force. He was a member of Park Baptist Church, Versailles where he served as trustee for many years, VFW Post 781, American Legion, Irwin and McKeesport Sportsmen’s Association. He was a graduate of Penn Hills Sr. High School and enjoyed hunting, fly fishing and 22 bench rest target shooting. He is survived by his wife, Shari (Wood) Shane; brother, Jerry Shane (Marie); sister, Karen Fischetti (John); sister-in-law, Bev Mancuso (Ron); nieces and nephews; and four special great nieces. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Park Baptist Church, 749 Center Street, Versailles, PA 15132. PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH.
