Adam R. McLaughlin, 25, of West Newton, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh as a result of a construction accident.

He was born February 1, 1991 in Jeannette, PA, son of Janie McLaughlin and John Guthrie and Keith and Michelle Loughner.  Adam was an independent laborer and a graduate of Yough Senior High School. Adam was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Keith McLaughlin and Brandon Bolam; nephews, Keith and Hayden McLaughlin.  Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Interment in Bigley Family Cemetery, Coulter, PA.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
