Robert C. Rothrauff, 92, of East McKeesport, died Tuesday August 1, 2023, at home. He was born January 21, 1931 in Pittsburgh a son of the late Charles and Pauline (Polinski) Rothrauff. He was an ironworker and he retired from Allegheny County Works Department and was a member of Mary Mother of God Parish formerly St. Robert Bellarmine Church, East McKeesport. Roe and Bernice loved to travel to Hawaii, the Bahamas, Alaska and many national parks. They bought a house that was over 100 years old and spent many years remodeling and improving it.
He was a devoted family man. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings Shirley Kurinko and James Rothrauff. He is survived by his wife of 74 years Bernice (Sabol) Rothrauff; his children Charleen (John) Midili of Lakeland FL, Darleen (Mark) Mrdjenovich of Bridgeville, Thomas (Christina) Rothrauff of East McKeesport, Robert Rothrauff of Turtle Creek, Terri (Paul) Schopp of North Versailles, and Denise (Ken) Saksa of North Huntingdon; his daughter in law Deborah Hoffstot; grandchildren Eric (Nicole) Midili, Jaclyn (Eric) Shaffer, James (Beth) Mrdjenovich, Matthew (Katie) Mrdjenovich, Marie Mrdjenovich, Anthony (Amy) Rothrauff, Michael (Heather) Rothrauff, Stephanie (Ryan) Heline, Natalie (Brad) Carpenter, Christy (Jason) Thiel, Joseph (Kara) Schopp, Renee (Dennis) Englert, Michelle (Jack) Ellenberger, Steven (Anna) Saksa, and Kevin (Anjali) Saksa; 28 great grandchildren; also nieces and nephews. There will be no viewing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 14, 2023, at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1313 Fifth Avenue, East McKeesport, PA 15035.
