John Daniel Bokin, age 72, of Liberty Boro, died on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. He was born in McKeesport on January 6, 1951 and is the son of the late David and Lucille Faircloth Bokin, and the husband of the late Julie Jordan Bokin. John proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and later retired as a truck driver for various industries and served as a deacon.
He is survived by his daughters, Lucy (Tom) Kamauf of Liberty Boro; Nicole “Nicky” Bokin of Duquesne; grandchildren, Corey Kamauf; Zachary (Madison) Kamauf; Tristan Voelzke; Julia Woolheater; David Jay Woolheater; sister, Lucille Bokin of McKeesport; and brother, Jack (Pat) Bokin of Liberty Boro.
In addition to his parents and wife, John was preceded in death by his siblings, Andy Bokin; Dave Bokin; Nancy Lynn; and Mary Arledge.
Family and friends will gather at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Friday, August 25, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m., when services will take place in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will take place at Lebanon Chapel Mausoleum of West Mifflin.
