Mary D. (Moran) Gallagher, 80, a resident of Redstone Highlands, North Huntingdon, formerly of North Versailles, died Tuesday October 25, 2016. She was born December 11, 1935 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Joyce) Moran and was also preceded in death by her husband James P. Gallagher Sr. and siblings Jerry and Thomas Moran, Kay White, and Noreen Delozier.

She was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Irwin, a former member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church, East McKeesport, and formerly active with AARP, East Allegheny and North Huntingdon Chapters. Mary was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved the outdoors, camping and the beach. She is survived by her children, James P. Gallagher Jr. and his wife Eva of North Huntingdon and Joan P. Boyce of Monroeville; five grandchildren, Amy Bates, Jamie (Randy) Conboy, April (Tom) Hanahan, James (Alexis) Gallagher, and Joseph Gallagher (Stephanie); 11 great grandchildren; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. Parting prayers will be held at 10 A.M. Friday in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. in the Church of the Immaculate Conception with Father John Monieau, officiating. Interment will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
