Wilma Carol Dixon, age 86, of White Oak, died Wednesday, October 26, 2016. She was born in Parsons, West Virginia on April 14, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Cora Biller Payne and the wife of the late Harvey Earl Dixon, Jr. Wilma was a member of Bryn Mawr Church of Christ in White Oak. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her sons, David Dixon of Massilion, OH, Ken (Diane) Dixon of Armagh, Harvey (Faye) Dixon of Mechanicsburg, Edward (Deena) Dixon of Sutersville; daughters, Carol Hackett of Sierra Vista, AZ, Barbara Dixon of White Oak, Karen (the late Bruce) Roe of New Mexico, Peggy (Ken) Drescher of Tucson, AZ, Kathy Milik of McKeesport, Suzan Gluscic of White Oak, Julie (Paul) Merbitz of Nashville, TN; and Jan Hutchison of White Oak who was like another daughter to her; also many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her sons, William “Billy” Dixon and Daniel Dixon; grandson, Jeffrey Dixon; granddaughter Angela Dixon; and brother, Ralph Payne, Jr. Family services were held Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Striffler’s of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor, 412-678-6177).
