Rosalie M. Oriss, 88 formerly of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 28, 2023 at the Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Greater Pittsburgh, in Greensburg, PA. She was born on January 11, 1935 in Coopersburg, PA to John and Mary (Pechacek) Langer. Prior to retirement, Rosalie was an elementary school teacher in Allentown and North Braddock, PA and completed her teaching career at Queen of Angels School in the Norwin School District. She was an active member of St. Agnes Parish and enjoyed crafts, sewing and gardening. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bernie in September 2023, her brother John Langer and her brother-in-law James Oriss. She is survived by her son Timothy B. Oriss and his wife Carol, daughter Karen Oravitz and her husband Ken, grandchildren Nicholas (Sabrina) and Andrew Oriss, Natalie and Bradley Oravitz, sister-in-laws Phyllis Langer and Lois Oriss, as well as several nieces and a nephew. Family and friends will be received from 2-4PM and 6-8 PM on Monday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA 15642. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday at 10AM at St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon, PA. Interment will be private in Grandview Cemetery.www.shirleyfuneralhome.com
