Karen L. Harrison passed from the presence of loving family into Heavenly eternity on November 21, 2023.
Karen was born on March 29, 1950, to Alex Hamilton Jr. and Adeline Faust Hamilton. She married Robert C. Harrison, whom she called her soul mate, in 1979. Together, they raised 3 children, and she considered her family to be her greatest accomplishment in life.
Karen will also be remembered as a skilled and compassionate nurse. She graduated from the McKeesport Hospital School of Nursing in 1971 and worked for over 40 years at the hospital and at Community Life bringing care and healing to many patients.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her children: Jennifer (Ryan) Fleming, Jarrett Harrison, and Jillian Harrison (Robert Rosile) and by 3 grandchildren: Alexa Fleming, Declan Harrison, and Lorelei Harrison. In addition, she is survived by her brother, Alex (Bonnie) Hamilton, her sister Adrienne (Dan) Jarvis and a large extended family. Memories of holiday celebrations and vacations at Karen’s home are treasured by the entire family.
A celebration of her life will take place at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Saturday, November 25, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 3:15 p.m.
