Catherine “Cassie” Mae Boyer Pratt, age 85, of McKeesport, passed away at home, on Friday, December 8, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Pottsville, PA. on October 30, 1938. Daughter of the late Wilbert P. Boyer and Alice Boyer Mathers and sister of the late A. Elaine Boyer Figel. She was a graduate of the Glassport High School class of 1956 and attended The Pittsburgh Automation Institute. Prior to retirement, she was Supervisor of Data Entry at the former Equibank in McKeesport and Pittsburgh with over 22 years’ service. She is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Robert E. Pratt on January 29, 2023, and her beloved labrador retriever, Sadie this past July. She was a member of the former Mon Valley Flock of the Anglican Diocese of Pittsburgh and attended St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. She was a member of the church choir, head of the Altar Guild, and additionally the Krafters Corner. Cassie also belonged to area card clubs, was a former member of the White Oak AARP, and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.
Family and friends will gather on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). Family and friends will also gather on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. until the prayer service at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 220 8th Street, McKeesport, PA 15132. Entombment will follow at McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery.
