Sheryl J. (Keefe) Conaway, age 77, of West Newton, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at home. She was a retired laboratory technician for UPMC McKeesport, a member of the Bible Alliance Church in West Newton where she was very active with the church and it's Good News Club. Born January 12, 1946 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late William and Belva (Sinn) Keefe. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James H. Conaway; daughters, Staci Conaway of Somerset and Melissa (Dennis) Turek of Sutersville; son, William Conaway of McKeesport; grandchildren, Brendan (Tara) Conaway, Jeff (Chantil) Thomas, Kaitlin (Karl) Reese, Greg (Ashley) Thomas, Brad Thomas, Rayli, Hunter and Alexis Turek; great-grandchildren, Grace, CC, Gabe, Kyla, Leo, Morgan, Kyler, Aiden, Lyle and Connor; brother, Rev. Dennis (Susan) Keefe of Versailles; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Renee Ellis. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 12 Noon in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Frank Todaro officiating.
