Marian A. (Hood) Mullen, age 79, of McKeesport, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at UPMC Presbyterian. Marian was a very independent woman who loved to decorate for every holiday. She loved planting and growing her beautiful flowers and she always welcomed everyone into her home. Born June 22, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Elmer J. and Ruth (Farber) Hood. She is survived by her children, Wendy (Dan) Buza of Elizabeth, Michael Smith of Belle Vernon and Mark (Stacey) Smith of McKeesport; stepsons, Scott (Christine) Mullen and Shawn Mullen, both of McKeesport; grandchildren, Ashley, Jenna, Jacob, Abrielle, Jeremy, Arionna, Shane, James (Jimi), Danielle, Dana, Nick, Rayli, Haily, Marky and little Ashley; and eight great-grandchildren; also nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mullen; son, Kenneth Smith Jr.; grandson, Tommy; siblings, Evelyn, Barbara, Shirley, Dennis and Elmer Jr. Marian’s wishes were to have a Celebration of Life for all of her friends and family, which will be at the Port Vue Fire Hall on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 3-7 PM to share stories and memories.
