Raymond Howard Boyd, Jr., age 85, of White Oak, passed peacefully on Monday, December 18, 2023, surrounded by his family. Born June 26, 1938, in Homestead to the late Raymond Howard Boyd, Sr. and Roberta Parks Jesse.
Ray was the loving father to Kimberly (Ed) Murin of North Huntingdon and Tina Walsh-Graham of South Carolina; beloved Pappy to Carley (Erin) Murin and Mikayla (Luke) Haines; and loving companion to Becky Senate.
He is also survived by daughters, Donna Rusch of North Huntingdon, and Patrica Englert of West Mifflin; brother, Carl (Vicki) Boyd of Irwin; sisters, Carla Hill of West Mifflin; Ethel Ward of Mercer; Roberta Wilbur of Georgia; Diana Dale of Port Vue; Norma (Don) Kite of Belle Vernon; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ray was a proud veteran of the U.S Coast Guard, enjoyed fishing on his boat, and family camping trips. He was a man of tremendous inner strength and strong will, with an unconditional love for those he held close to his heart.
His memory will live on through the wisdom and values he instilled in those he cherished. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held on January 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the White Oak American Legion, Valor Hall, 2813 Capitol Street, White Oak, PA 15131. Service arrangements were handled by Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177).
