Earl “Huck” Wesley Howard Sr., age 77, of Irwin, formerly of East McKeesport, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Janice P. Howard; children Earl “Wes” (Nicole) Howard Jr., Tracy (Brian) Drotar, Jennifer (Mike) Smith and Jamie (Jack) Garbutt; grandchildren Joshua (Rachael), Sean, Nick, Stefan, Autumn and Amelia; great-grandchildren Kady, Cali and Aniyla; brother Robert “Butch” Howard Jr.; and sisters Florence Schultz and Eileen (George) Skiles. Huck honorably served his country while enlisted in the Navy. He was known for his ever beaming smile and generous spirit that would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Huck’s family meant the world to him and he delighted at every family gathering. Huck never met a car show he didn’t like. His passion for antique cars was unmatched and one could see his enjoyment as he proudly drove his 1936 International pickup on a daily basis. Huck loved blue grass music and was always down for a grand ole “picking session”. Huck was formerly employed at WABCO where he developed and maintained lasting friendships. He retired from Square D where he worked as a field service technician. He always looked forward to his annual trips to Hershey, PA for the AACA Club International Car Show. His honorable and integritous personality will be missed by all who knew him, especially his family.
