James Joseph Quashnock, age 80, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at home. He retired as an adjuster for Allstate Insurance Company. A veteran of the Air Force and the Reserves, he was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Twp. He loved cars, especially his PT Cruiser, and enjoyed boating on Lake Erie and vacationing in Las Vegas. He was a lifetime member of the Elks and a member of the Moose and American Legion Daniel Keffer Post 75 in Clairton. When all is said and done, he’ll tell you he did it “my way.” Born March 9, 1943 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Joseph F. and Marie G. (Jones) Quashnock. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Natalie M. (Magiske) Quashnock; daughter, Jamie M. (Brendan C. Holly) Quashnock of Henderson, NV; brother, David J. (Donna) Quashnock of Jefferson Hills; sister-in-law, Barbara L. Quashnock; and nieces, Erica Kroll, Autumn (Anthony) DeMarco and Lisa Quashnock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Richard W. Quashnock. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Monday, January 15, 2024, from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 10 AM in St. Michael Church with the Rev. Thomas J. Burke officiating.
