John Andrew Yost passed away, at the age of 57, on February 12, 2024. He was born in Penn Hills on September 21, 1966 to the late, John Edward and Susan Ann Finnegan Yost.

John was full of love and life. A proud member of SAG-AFTRA, AEA, and AGMA. Through these organizations he was able to pursue his love of acting, producing, and writing. John was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be dearly missed.

John is survived by his wife, Lisa Ann (Matta) Yost of McKeesport, PA; along with his two sons, John (Samantha) Yost of North Huntingdon, PA; and Nathaniel (Emily) Yost of McKeesport, PA; his brother David Finnegan of Natrona Heights, PA; his 3 sisters, Anne E. (Jack) Tupper of Brookfield, OH; Deborah (John) Durant, of Huntsville, AL; Rachel (Daniel) Christman of Sanford, FL; his two cherished grandchildren; Ada Yost, and Alice Yost; brother in laws, William (Patricia) Matta, Gregory (Laura) Matta, Christopher Matta, Craig (Julie) Matta; and beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his sister, Jessica Christie Finnegan.

Family and friends will gather at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of prayers at 7:45 p.m. Services will be held on  Friday February,16 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow at Lebanon Chapel Mausoleum of West Mifflin.
