Rose (Vecchio) Artuso, age 103 of Clairton, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016 in Lawson's Nursing Home. Born August 12, 1913 in Calabria, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Ross and Josephine Vecchio.

A member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton, Rose was an excellent cook and an amazing mother and grandmother who always made people happy when she was around. She joins her husband, the late Philip Artuso, who passed away March 21, 1977. Rose is survived by her son Vincent R. (Mary) Artuso of Elizabeth Twp., her grandson Philip Artuso of West Newton, her brother Joseph (Tecky) Vecchio of Florida, her sister Mafalda (Tom) Kozubol of Greentree, and also nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother John Vecchio. Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, 555 5th. St., Clairton, PA 15025 (412-233-5700) on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 7 to 9 PM. A Blessing will be held in the funeral home on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 10 AM with Fr.
