Gary Dolby, 70, of Irwin, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024. He was born December 28, 1953 in McKeesport, a son of the late Fred R. Dolby Jr. and Elizabeth (Marzalek) Dolby and was also preceded in death by his brother Terre Dolby, and brother’s in-law Tom Rothrauff and John Rupp. Gary was a Navy veteran and he was a skilled carpenter. Throughout his working life, Gary worked as a carpenter and also in many other construction trades. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and camping. Gary also enjoyed spending time with family, had a good sense of humor, liked movies, and playing his favorite golf video game.

He is survived by his daughters Lisa (Chad) Hamilton and Lori (Scott) Solar all of North Huntingdon; grandchildren Toria, Cody, Sarah, Ben, Katie, Aubrey, and Emma; brother and sisters Christine Rothrauff of Monroeville, Darryl Dolby of Irwin, Donna Rupp (David Walls) of North Huntingdon, and sister in-law Bonnie Shipley of Trafford; niece Alysa Dolby; and great nieces Gianna and Arianna. Memorial services will be private. The family would like to thank Quality Life Services, Apollo and Three Rivers Hospice for all of their outstanding compassionate care.
