Genevieve Fix, age 88, of North Huntingdon, died Wednesday March 6, 2024. She was born December 24, 1935 in Bell Township, a daughter of the late Clodinaro and Mary (Maglicco) Piraino. Genevieve was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Irwin. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Henry “Bill” Fix and her siblings Louise Long, Lucille Ricci, Rose Sartori, Theresa Wise, Jim Piraino and Ross Piraino. She is survived by her children Michele Staso and her husband, Mark, William Fix, and Dennis Fix and his wife, Tammy, all of North Huntingdon; eight grandchildren Jennifer (Anthony) Kresicki, Jason (Kristen) Staso, Kerri (Erik) Hertzog, Jessica Fix, Staci Fix, Michael (Lauren) Fix, Dennis (Amanda) Fix, and Chelsey (Andrew) Fix-King; 17 great grandchildren; also nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Monday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Main Street, Irwin, with Pastor Sarah Lee Faulkner, officiating. Those attending the funeral service please go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, North Huntingdon. The family would like to thank her caregivers and Monarch Hospice for all the kind and compassionate care.
