Jacqualine “Jackie” C. (Pinskey) Helkowski, age 70, of Irwin, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016. She was born August 11, 1946 in Everson, a daughter of the late Joseph and Cecilia (Lubieniecki) Pinskey. She was a long time member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Irwin and was part of the Christian Mothers Group. She worked for over 20 years as a teller for a few different banks in the Irwin area, and volunteered at the Norwin Library.

She earned her Bachelors Degree at Seton Hall College in 1990. She was a loyal Pitt football and basketball fan who enjoyed reading and travel. She was also a Jeopardy expert. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Joseph Pinskey and sister Patricia Malmister. She is survived by her husband of over 50 years Lawrence “Larry” J. Helkowski; son Lawrence “Scott” (Julie) Helkowski of Powell, Ohio; grandson Andrew Helkowski; sister Joanna Kondrath of Orange, California; brother-in-laws Daniel of Baden, Arthur of Ruffsdale, Greg of Scottdale and Charles of Scottdale; her many nieces and nephews; and her faithful Bichon Snowball. Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. A funeral mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Church in Irwin. Interment will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery in Everson.
