Gertrude M. Zalac, 89, of Glassport, died March 27, 2024.  She is the daughter of the late John and Helen (Kucienski) Krol and beloved wife of  62 years, of the late George A. "Tookie" Zalac.  She was preceded in death by her son Gregory Zalac; sisters Irene (Michael) Bagay, Laura Gavola, Louise (John) Slifko, Stella (Harry) Piatt, Theresa (Verne) Montinari and Blanche Krol and brothers Chester, Joseph, Walter, John and Stanley Krol.  Gertrude is survived by her grandchildren Brandon, Ashley, Karli and Kristy Zalac; great granddaughters Karina Zalac and Jaylle Branchack; also many nieces and nephews.  She was a member of St. Joachim & Anne Parish and was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother.  Friends will be received at the Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Fri. from noon to 1:00 pm at which time a funeral mass will be held at Queen of the Rosary Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anne's Home, 683 Angela Dr., Greensburg Pa 15601 or St. Joachim & Anne Parish, 101 McLay Dr., Elizabeth Pa 15037.
