Gary R. Balliard, age 73, of Forward Twp., passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Jefferson Hospital. A long-time member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Twp., he retired after 45 years as a welder and pipefitter for Power Piping Co. He was a loving husband and an avid bike rider and loved bike riding with his wife on the GAP trail. Born January 28, 1951 in New Eagle, he was a son of the late Gilbert and Alice (Patterson) Balliard. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Deborah Frost-Balliard; sister, Juanita Balliard Carter; mother-in-law, Dolores Frost; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Cathy (Marvin) Gray, Susan (Bruce) Frost Benzo, Leonard Frost Jr., Lynn Frost, Stephen Frost, Nanette (John) Ragan and Lisa (Ray) Kotewicz; godson, Daniel Ragan; brother-in-law, Bob Price; also, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Kenneth Balliard and Kathy Price; father-in-law, Leonard Frost Sr., and brother-in-law, Harry Carter. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Monday, April 29, 2024 from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 10 AM in St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church with the Rev. Thomas J. Burke officiating.
