Mildred Louise Dawson, age 80, of White Oak, PA, died on Friday, June 7, 2024. She was born in McKeesport, PA on March 8, 1944 and is the daughter of the late Thayer C. and Milda Schneider Dawson. Mildred loved her family dearly, as well as animals, especially her dogs and stray cats that she would adopt. She also enjoyed walking in White Oak Park and was a member of the Bryn Mawr Church of Christ.

Mildred is survived by her siblings, Joan Porter of Portage, IN; Thayer (Barbara) Dawson of Barnesville, PA; sister-in-law, Marsha Dawson of White Oak, PA; and was the favorite aunt of many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mildred is preceded in death by her siblings, John Frank Dawson, Sr.; Leona Jacobs; Elva Jean Stegman; and William Dawson.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, 2300 Greenock Buena Vista Rd, McKeesport, PA 15135. Arrangements are being cared for by Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177).
