It is with great sadness that the family of Irene Krivonak of Port Vue announces her passing on June 22, 2024 at the age of 97.  She was the daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Vargo) Krivonak.  Irene is survived by her niece Audrey Catanzaro; nephews Dennis Krivonak and Michael Ksiazek, numerous other nieces and nephews, great niece and caregiver Sandra Catanzaro and great great nephew Shawn Catanzaro, with whom she had a special relationship and assisted with her care and many other great great nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by siblings Kathryn Kovac, Ann Wasak, Stephen Krivonyak, Helen Ksiazek and Michael Krivonak.  Irene was a retired executive  secretary of Irvin Works and was a lifelong member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church.  Friends will be received at the Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Tues. From 2 to 4 and 6 to 8.  A funeral liturgy will be held Wed. 10:30 at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church.  Interment following at St. Nicholas Byzantine Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church or a charity of choice.
