Rosemary (Rose) L. Davis, 70, of Jefferson Hills, formerly of Mingo Creek Park in Nottingham Township, passed away on Wednesday, July 10th, 2024 in her home with her husband by her side. She was born October 21st, 1953 in Monongahela. She is the daughter of the late Mary Ellen Yohe – Shibbler and late Lloyd H. Kimple. Rose was a kind, loving, generous wife, mother, grandmother, and humanitarian. She dedicated herself to those she loved and cared for. Rose was employed at Kane Hospital for 35 years, where she served as Union Steward for Laborers #1058, and retired as a Recreational Therapist Aide in 2015. She was extremely involved with the patients and in post retirement she would still volunteer on occasion. Rose also worked a second job on weekends at Mon Yough Services for 16 years and was recognized for her hard work and dedication to the community. Upon retirement Rose would spend her time with her loving husband Scott Davis. They spent many weekends camping and enjoyed winters in Florida with her family. Rose also devoted a lot of her time to family. She would spend many hours in the summers with her son and his children at Grandma’s Cabin. Then during the school year, she would often be seen driving to Ringgold or WVU to assist her granddaughters. She was a loving pet owner through the years. She grew up surrounding herself with horses on her family farm and eventually would own some herself. She also spent hours with her dog Odie and he has not left her side for a year. Rose enjoyed her retirement spending time with her husband and family, camping, traveling, time with friends, taking walks or small trips, going to concerts, cooking, baking and gardening. Rose was extraordinary with the love, compassion, and kindness she would demonstrate. It truly was her special gift; she was a warrior and a light in so many people’s lives. Rose is survived by her dedicated and loving husband of 30 years Scott Davis of Jefferson Hills, son Joshua Kaska of the Mid-Atlantic, daughter Noel (Jeffrey) Skorvan of Carrol Township, five grandchildren Alexa, Kylie, and Ava Skorvan, and Julian and Victoria Kaska.
