Betty Jean Popovich Lewis, 89, of McKeesport passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at John J. Kane in McKeesport. She was born on February 25, 1935 in Turtle Creek to the late Charles and Gladys Popovich. Betty ran the Penn McKee Hotel for many years, and spent many years working in caring for the elderly. She is survived by son, David Lewis of Versailles Boro, Thomas Lewis of Ohio, Patrick (Denise) Lewis of Monroeville, and Kenneth (Becky) Lewis of New Brighton, brother Charles Popovich of Irwin, grandchildren Anthony David of Glassport, Tina Hopper of McKeesport, Ellen Lewis of Virginia, Ava Lewis of Port Vue, Holly Keene of New York and Amber Keene of Pitcairn, Holly of Penn Trafford, Autumn Lewis, and Mariah Lewis of Beaver Falls and Alex Lewis of New Brighton, and David Thomas Lewis, great-grandchildren Savia Kawalski , Rylee Anderson, Ella, Haven, and Ryleigh Logsdow. Betty was preceded in death by son Christopher Lewis, and sister Lavearn Kun, and her favorite dog Sassy and bird Moe. She avidly enjoyed crafting, and taking care of her family. Arrangements have been entrusted to I.M FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 203 4th St, Dravosburg, PA 15034. Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Richland Cemetery in Dravosburg at 2:00 P.M. where interment will take place.
