Jared A. Edwards, 42, died Thursday September 26, 2024. He is the son of Dan and Theresa (Quintana) Mawritz. He is survived by his beloved fiance Melissa Esper; son Blake Edwards; mother of Blake Tara Braddock; brother Daniel Mawritz; sister Alina Mawritz; step-children Delaney, Lucy, and Sammy Esper; and many extended friends and relatives who loved him deeply. 

Jared was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved nature, riding his quad, and spending time in the woods, especially in his tree stand. He was very passionate about music, Pittsburgh sports, and his family. He was a successful construction worker dedicated to his business that he built.

He developed a passion for pyrotechnics and put on the best 4th of July firework show. He had an infectious laugh and was loved by everyone that knew him. He was a member of Pine Run Methodist church and enjoyed attending bible study around the campfire. Jared had many achievements on his road to recovery, but unfortunately lost the battle. We will keep him in our hearts until we meet again. 

Friends will be received on Tuesday October 1st from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Wojciechowski Funeral Home, 640 Vermont Ave. Glassport PA 15045. A funeral service will be held Wednesday October 2nd at 11am in the funeral home with Pastor Michael Airgood.
