She was a graduate of Clarion College (currently Clarion University) with a Bachelor’s Degree. and received her Masters Degree in Library Science at the University of Kentucky.
Linda was a former medical librarian at the former Braddock General Hospital and she also worked at Amy’s Hallmark for over 20 years, in charge of inventory and stock. She loved all things Disney. She was a member of the DAR, the Mayflower Society (because she was a direct descendant of a relative who was on the Mayflower), and a former member of the Lebanon Women’s Club.
She was the loving wife of 52 years to David H. Ruhe; mother of Christopher (Wanda) Ruhe of Baldwin, PA, Patrick (Kate) Ruhe of Aldie, VA, and Michael Ruhe of Carnegie, PA; grandmother of Carson, Gwenyth and Sierra Ruhe; and sister of Richard (Deb) Brewster of Youngsville, PA.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. SCHLEIFER, SUPERVISOR, WILLIAM BRIAN SCHLEIFER, FUNERAL DIRECTOR, where a Blessing Service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., in St. Joseph Church of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Duquesne, with Rev. Dan D’Antonio officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, West Mifflin.
