Felicia E. Hammett, 79, of North Versailles, passed away peacefully Wednesday November 20, 2024. She was born May 28, 1945 in Wilkinsburg, a daughter of the late William and Josephine (Wieseckel) Emert, and in addition to her parents was preceded in death by her brother Charles Emert. She worked as a registered nurse for 45 years, at Kane Hospital in McKeesport, Visiting Nurses Association of Allegheny County, and UPMC Living at Home Program, she also participated in community outreach programs. Family was very important to her; she was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and shopping at local thrift stores. She was an animal lover, and her companions Solomon – Oliver were her beloved dogs.

Felicia is survived by her children Margaret “Maggie” (Zanio) Palmieri of North Huntingdon and Laval Hammett Jr. of Castle Shannon; grandchildren Zachary Palmieri, Nico Palmieri, Laval Hammett III, and Jenna Hammett; brother Bill Emert of South Park; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, at the Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home, 1032 Broadway Ave., East McKeesport, 412-823-8083. A Blessing Service will be held at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
