Sharon L. Quarles, age 70, of Duquesne, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at her home. Born in Pittsburgh on July 16, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Catherine Quarles. She was a former medical secretary at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and also worked at Reese Communications. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, and cleaning. Sharon is the beloved wife of Ernest Pontoo; mother of Nicole (husband Heath Cahn) Pontoo of New Stanton; sister of Leslie (late Robert) McCray of Detroit, Michigan, Michael Quarles of Duquesne, Keith Quarles of Homewood, Gilbert “Junior” Quarles of Homewood, Derrick Quarles of Atlanta, Georgia, and the late Marsha Stevenson.
