Betty Elaine Potts, born on December 15, 1952, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025, at the age of 72 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania.
Betty’s journey through life was filled with love, resilience, and dedication to her family and community. At the age of three, she moved with her family to New York, and later they migrated to McKeesport, Pennsylvania. In McKeesport, she met her late husband, Robin Lee Potts. Together, they built a loving family and had four children: Delilah Charise Rutledge (husband Van), Robin Lee Allen (deceased), Racquel Lee Rivera-Potts, and Tonya Lee Potts. Additionally, Betty embraced her bonus daughter (niece), Kimberley Marie Potts-Jones, as one of her own.
Betty was the beloved daughter of Lydia Turner (husband Willis) and Ramon Rivera (deceased). She was the only girl among six brothers, a role that shaped her strong and caring spirit. Her brothers include Ramon Rivera (wife Terri), Wilson Rivera (deceased), Tony Rivera, Harry Rivera (wife Beth), Eddie Rivera (wife Rhonda), and Richard Rivera (deceased). Born and raised in the vibrant culture of Puerto Rico, she carried those roots with her wherever she went, sharing her warmth and generosity with everyone she met. Throughout her life, she touched countless lives through her kindness and her unwavering spirit.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren- LaReina Potts, Richard Potts, Erin Potts, Russell Potts, Brandon Potts, Kanaada Ball, Carlito Spence, Zion Potts, and Carter Kerr (deceased), great-grandchildren, and extended family members, who will cherish her memory and carry her legacy forward. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robin Lee Potts, and her daughter, Robin Lee Allen.
Family and friends are invited to gather to honor her memory and share stories of the joy she brought into their lives on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until Noon at Creative Ministries Berachah, 1422 Evans Avenue, McKeesport PA 15132. Funeral services will start at Noon at Creative Ministries Berachah.

Her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace and that her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
