Carol B. Howard, age 69, of West Mifflin, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, in Jefferson Hospital. Born in Homestead, PA on March 25, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Charles D. “Jake” and Susan H. (Manns) Barnes. She was a retired billing specialist for UPMC Community Medicine, Inc. and a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish-St. Agnes Church.

Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend, she enjoyed reading, cooking, rare quiet nights with her candles, shows, popcorn, and cat “Kittie”, spending time in the sun at her pool or on the beach. But where she found her life’s greatest joy was caring for all those around her. With a warm smile, dedicated hands, selfless spirit, gentle soul, and tireless heart, she had a natural ability to make everyone in her life feel calmed, heard, appreciated and, above all, loved.

She has been with her loving husband, James “Jim” Howard, for 57 years. She is the mother of James “Murt” Howard of West Mifflin, Andrew “Andy” Howard of West Mifflin, and Mariah Howard of West Mifflin; sister of Sandy (late Paul) Mancini of Kinsman, OH, Dorsey (Thomas) Solich of Howland, OH, Sheryl (Ed) Eichenlaub of Bethel Park, Susie (Kevin) Kurta of West Mifflin and late Terry (wife Doris survives) Barnes of Findlay OH; sister-in-law of Terrence D. (Jean) Howard of West Mifflin, Susan M. (late Jay Null) Howard of West Mifflin and Patricia H. (Tom) Klocko of West Mifflin.
