Ronald T. Jeroski, age 89, of North Huntingdon, formerly of West Mifflin, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, his 89th birthday. Born in Duquesne on February 2, 1936, he was the son of the late Peter and Clara (Gaca) Jeroski.Ron served for 4 years in the US Army, post Korean War. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, he worked as an engineer for US Steel, doing research at the UEC Laboratory in Monroeville.
Ron was a member of the former St. Hedwig Church, Duquesne. He was very proud of his Polish heritage, taking multiple trips to Poland. He was extremely honored when he and his wife were named Polonians of the Year by The Polish Cultural Council in 2015. Ron enjoyed his many hobbies, which included traveling, photography, woodworking, stained glass and making beautiful works of art with his scroll saw. Ron LOVED Christmas! He delighted in dressing as Santa for his grandchildren and meticulously decorating his house for the holidays.
Ron was the husband of the late Ernestine (Duran) Jeroski, who passed away on December 9, 2024. He is the father of Cara Jeroski James of Allison Park, PA and Amy (late Jason) Chuderewicz of Virginia Beach, VA; grandfather of Lauren Chuderewicz, Isabella James, Justin Chuderewicz, Ethan James, Ava Chuderewicz and Alyssa Chuderewicz; and brother of Eleanor (Andrew) Fedor. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., in St. Agnes Church of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, West Mifflin, with Rev. Dan D’Antonio, officiating. Presentation of Military Honors will follow the Mass.
