Ronald Gene Preece, age 85, of Dravosburg, PA, died on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. He was born in Buchanan, KY, on October 17, 1939, and was the son of the late Margie Bishop and Abraham L. Preece. He was the husband of the late Ann W. Keith Preece, who died on November 8, 2020. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and later retired from U.S. Steel as a data processor.
Ronald is survived by his sons, David (Elise) Preece of White Oak, PA; and Daniel (Shannon) Preece of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Madeline (Sean) Preece-Hackett; Jonathan (Hannah Terrick) Preece; Derrick Volz; Nolan Preece; Tyler Preece; Abigail Preece; Noah Preece; and Mason Preece; great-grandchildren, Carson; Bella; and Nova; and brother, Larry (Sally) Preece of Sykesville, MD.
He loved his neighbors and friends like family.
In addition to his parents and wife, Ronald is preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Preece.
Family and friends will gather on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until time of services at 7:30 p.m. officiated by Pastor Ray Beard at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). A burial will take place with the family at Allegheny County Memorial Park the following day.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions in Ronald’s name may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, 5757 Waterford District Drive, Suite 310. Miami, FL 33126.
