Kenneth G. Elko Sr., age 90, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025, at The Grove at Irwin. Ken was an Army veteran who served during the Korean War. He was a member of Sts. Joachim and Ann Parish, St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Twp., was a lifetime member of the West Newton, Elizabeth Twp. and Shaner gun clubs, and a member of Stock the Yough. Kenneth was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. Born February 22, 1935 in Glassport, he was a son of the late George and Mary (Komondor) Elko. He is survived by his two daughters, Sharon Eden of Hanover and Susan Barno of McKeesport; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister with whom he resided, Mary Jane Revetta; also, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Elko Jr., and a brother, Robert Elko. Friends will be received at the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth, on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 2 PM until the time of a blessing service at 4 PM with the Rev. Edwin J. Wichman officiating. Private burial will take place at Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. Memorial contributions can be made to the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer Motherhouse to assist feeding the poor, 999 Rock Run Road, Elizabeth, PA 15037.
