Gertrude Mary Bradley, age 93, of McKeesport, PA, died on Friday, April 4, 2025. She was born in Newfoundland, Canada, on February 6, 1932. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Breen, and the wife of the late George W. Bradley, Sr. She was employed for over forty years by the South Allegheny School District as a cafeteria worker.
Gertrude is survived by her children, Audrey (the late Keith) Hammond of Goldsboro, NC; Maureen Bradley of Venice, FL; Colleen Bradley of McKeesport, PA; Theresa (Geary) Smith of Snow Hill, N.C.; George (Sandra) Bradley, Jr. of Charleston, SC; Joseph (Janice) Bradley of Irwin, PA; and Michael (Doreen) Bradley of Bassett, VA; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Patrick Breen; Thomas (Mary) Breen; Michael (Barb) Breen; William (Veronica) Breen; and Elizabeth (Robert) Green, all of Canada; and in-laws, Audrey Kochis, James Bradley and Kathleen Tyler.
In addition to her parents and husband, Gertrude is preceded in death by her sons, Brian and Christopher Bradley; brothers, James (Margaret) Breen; Eugene (Margaret) Breen; Steve Breen; Aiden Breen; Edward Breen; and sisters, Johanna and Edward Konieczny; and Mary and William White.
Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Gertrude’s memory on Monday, April 7, 2025 at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery.
