Gary George Vallus, age 72, of White Oak, PA, died on Saturday, April 26, 2025. He was born in McKeesport, PA on August 1, 1952 and was the son of the late George John and Josephine “Jo” J. Kotvas Vallus. Gary received his Bachelor of Journalism from Penn State University in 1979 and later retired as an operations manager for the telecom industry. He enjoyed making his famous stew, camping, and was a member of the Washington PA Harley Owners Group Chapter.

Gary is survived by his son, Dustin (Kayla) Vallus of West Mifflin, PA; daughter, Mary Jo (Jon Smart) Vallus of North Huntingdon, PA; grandchildren, Aubrie; Ashton; and on the way, Aurora; cousin, Gloria Wilson of West Mifflin, PA; and granddogs, Mikey; Kaos; Karma; Ruby; and Olivia.

The family would like to thank his fan club on the ICU and Rehab Unit at Jefferson Hospital for their wonderful care.

Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Gary’s memory on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). Services will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Father Michael J. Faix officiating. An entombment will follow.
