Mona J. Olsen, age 92 of North Huntingdon, passed away on May 24, 2025 at Mountain View Memory Care Center. She was born on October 27, 1932 in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Gilbert and Frances Raviart Schmidt. Prior to her retirement, Mona was employed as an administrative assistant. She also assisted the Westmoreland County Obedience Training Club (WCOTC) in certifying dogs to provide therapy to patients in nursing homes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Max J. Olsen, one son Robert Olsen, one sister, Janet Wolfe (Charles), and her baby sister Lois Eileen. She is survived by one son Max Olsen (Laurie), one daughter Lisa Stagon, grandchildren Christopher Stagon, Megan Olsen, Lauren Griffies (Shane), Aaron Olsen, Barbara Bottaro (Greg), 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 nephews Randall Wolfe (Mary) and Scott Wolfe (Becky). Friends will be received at the JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon on Wednesday from 11 AM to 1 PM followed by a service at 1 PM.
