Alfred R. Buzek, age 92, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Excela Health Westmoreland.

He was born September 12, 1924 in McKeesport, PA, a son of the late John and Anna Leskovac Buzek.  Prior to his retirement Alfred was employed by US Steel, Duquesne, a veteran of the US Army having served in WWII and was an avid Pittsburgh sports team fan.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.  He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Singleton Buzek; stepchildren, Edward, Darlene, Sharon, Debby, Kim; brother, Edward Buzek; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received on Tuesday at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA.  Interment in Westmoreland Memorial Park, Greensburg.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
